OUR CURRENT MENUS 

Our menus change to reflect the seasonal availability of the produce we use and, as we are open from breakfast till dinner most days*, there should be something to suit every taste and appetite throughout the day.  Whether you just need a quick cuppa, a leisurely lunch or a more formal dinner, why not give us a try?  We also have a great children's menu.

As well as the favourite items which rarely change (we wouldnt dare!) we offer lots of choice and changing seasonal offerings.  Here are some examples of the type of food we are likely to be offering currently:

   A la Carte

Starters

Chef's homemade soup of the day with crusty bread £ 4.50  

Twice baked cheddar cheese and leek soufflé with rocket salad and chive cream (V) £6.95 Main £10.95

Pressed pork and venison terrine with beetroot coulis £5.50

Seared king scallops with pea puree, black pudding and pancetta £10.65

Sun Roasted tomato and asparagus risotto with pesto oil and parmesan crisp (v) £ 5.95 or as main for £9.95

Mains

Rare grilled venison loin with sautéed sweet potato and green peppercorn sauce £18.50

Pan fried fillets of sea bass with Bok choi, Parmentier potatoes and a chilli ginger dressing £14.95

Oven roasted Poussin with forest mushrooms, sautéed cabbage and tarragon jus £13.95

Tower of herb stuffed pork belly with black pudding and calvados reduction, cooked twice for tenderness £14.50

Stack of Portobello mushrooms with glazed shallots, pastry lattice and a blue cheese dressing. A feast of flavours and textures. A delight even for the non veggies (v) £ 9.95

From the Grill

All locally sourced and matured for at least 22 days. Served with fries, sautéed field mushrooms, roasted beef tomato and a choice of peppercorn sauce, thyme jus or garlic and herb butter.
